DOCUMENTATION - requirements are:

  • Submit Marriage Application one month prior to the ceremony date to: Territorial Court of the Virgin Islands, Veterans Dr., St. Thomas, USVI, 00804, phone: (340) 774-6680 x6434

  • State both parents names, mothers' maiden names and parents places of birth

  • If Divorced, a copy of final Divorce Decree must be presented (certified copy is accepted)

  • If widow/widower, Death Certificate of decedent spouse is required

  • Certified name change or adoption paper

  • In the event that the above original documents are not available in English, a certified translated copy is required

  • Send a letter stating arrival and departure dates, location of stay, and a certified check or money order for $50.00 (application fee and marriage license fee) to: Shelby Glossip, Wedding Coordinator, Wyndham Sugar Bay

RESIDENCY

There are no restrictions regarding arriving on the island prior to your ceremony.  Keep in mind that you must go to the courthouse for the signing of the license.  It is open Monday-Friday from 9:0am-5:00pm, and Saturdays from 10:00am-12:00noon, except holidays.  The application will be notarized at the Territorial Court.
